Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Project Superintendent for a north of Tampa Bay heavy civil bridge project. This onsite, full-time role leads foremen and subcontractors, ensuring schedule, cost, safety and quality targets are met on a design-build highway/bridge job.

You will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and FDOT inspectors, manage field reports, budgets, and safety programs, and relocate if needed to serve Florida’s bridge and highway work.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years of bridge experience on heavy highway and bridge construction
• Experience as a superintendent on bridge or interchange projects
• Working knowledge of FDOT contracts, specs and reporting
• OSHA competent person
• Clean driving record
• Design-build experience is a plus
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, or willing to relocate

Responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on bridge and highway work
• Schedule foremen, crews and subcontractors
• Set production goals and hold crews to them
• Plan the work with the project manager and engineers
• Own jobsite safety and act as OSHA competent person
• Work with FDOT inspectors and the owner's team

Location: North Tampa Bay / Hernando County, FL area (full time onsite)

An established heavy civil contractor is hiring a Project Superintendent for a design build highway and bridge job north of Tampa Bay. This is a strong opportunity for a Bridge Superintendent, Structures Superintendent or Project Superintendent who wants to run the field on a sizable job for a stable employer. You'll run foremen and subcontractors, set production and own safety, schedule and budget in the field, much of it FDOT work. Tampa Bay and Central Florida locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.
