Job summary

Role Description

The Project Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role located in Fort Worth, TX. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects, including managing subcontractors, coordinating schedules, and ensuring work is completed according to plans, specifications, and building codes. The Project Superintendent monitors site safety, quality control, and productivity, conducts regular inspections, and leads on-site meetings to resolve issues and maintain progress toward milestones. This position collaborates closely with project managers, architects, and clients, supports budget and schedule adherence, maintains detailed project documentation, and ensures that all work aligns with PRIM Construction’s standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong Supervisory Skills, including leading field crews, coordinating subcontractors, and managing on-site workflows.
• Experience in Commercial Construction, with knowledge of ground-up builds and tenant improvements for office, retail, warehouse, and medical facilities.
• Proficiency in Quality Control practices, including reviewing plans, inspecting work, and ensuring compliance with specifications and codes.
• Demonstrated expertise in Construction Safety, including OSHA standards, site safety planning, and enforcing safety protocols.
• Budgeting skills, with the ability to support cost control, track project expenses, and assist in minimizing change orders and financial overruns.
• Relevant experience as a Project Superintendent or similar field leadership role in commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with project teams and clients.
• Proficiency with construction management software and standard office applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, or comparable experience, is preferred.
