Barnard Inc. in White Plains, NY, is hiring a Project Superintendent to lead field operations on major heavy civil projects across the Northeast. You will coordinate crews, schedule work, monitor safety, and ensure compliance with project specs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project superintendent experience in the New York metro area.
• Willing to work in the New York metro area or Northeast area.
• Extensive heavy civil construction experience, including management of field operations on bridges, underground, transit, and other heavy civil projects.
• Experience supervising multiple foremen/construction crews.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Safety oriented; OSHA 10- and 30-hour certificates are preferred.
• Strong work ethic; willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to function as a team-builder/player.
• Estimating and planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage construction activities, crew staffing, equipment, and tools for maximum utilization and quality.
• Track schedule and budget progress with milestones and take actions to keep the project on track.
• Determine, control, and maintain field discipline schedules and budgets.
• Manage construction safety.
• Ensure environmental and quality compliance.
• Understand and manage project costs and budgets.
• Review contract documents, specifications, drawings, and designs.
• Work with estimating teams to develop estimates for large, complex projects.
• Review timecards and invoices for proper cost distribution and accountability.

• Tracks schedule and budget progress with project milestones and takes all action necessary to keep project on track.
• Determines, controls, and maintains field discipline schedules and budgets.
• Manage construction safety.
• Manage environmental and quality compliance.
• Understand /manage project costs and budgets.
• Review, interpret and understand Contract Documents including specifications, drawings, and designs.
• Work with estimating teams to develop estimates for large complex heavy civil project.
• Review timecards and invoices for proper cost distribution and accountability.
• Ensure all employees are current in and compliant with all Barnard?safetypolicies, andhave received required safety training and equipment.
