Join AIR as a Project Specialistsupporting theFEWS NET Learning and Data Hub project, and bring your advanced project management expertise to a mission-driven team working to improve global food security. The FEWS NET (Famine Early Warning Systems Network) project provides timely, evidence-based analysis to help decision-makers respond to humanitarian crises and food insecurity around the world.

In this role, you will support and coordinate complex project activities, working closely with Project Directors and Task Leaders to ensure the successful execution of high-impact initiatives. You will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project workflows, data collection, deliverables, and resource allocation across a diverse portfolio.

This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, and a commitment to supporting the goals of the FEWS NET project through efficient and effective project operations.

This position has the flexibility to work remote from anywhere in the United States or from any of AIR'sU.S. office locations. This does not include U.S. territories.

Responsibilities:



  • Work with the Project Director or Task Leaders to execute changes and/or updates to the project tasks.
  • Develop and maintain standard templates, processes, and workflows, all elements of which shall be consistent with AIR's best practices and contract requirements.
  • Provide support in project planning and implementation by managing, monitoring, and tracking project tasks using standard processes and workflows.
  • Delegate work to staff and ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Provide administrative support related to the overall project management.
  • Forecast and analyze project management related data and synthesize those data into reports and spreadsheets based on program needs or program deliverables.
  • Track project benchmarks and make recommendations for change.


Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:




  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to public policy, economics, education, psychology, political science, or communications with a minimum of 6 years of experience in in project management, data analysis, and staffing processes or a dvanced degree (MBA, MPA) with a minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, data analysis, and staffing processes


  • PMP Certification a plus but not required

Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.

Anticipated Annual Salary Range $95,000 — $110,000 USD
