Job summary

Standard Textile, Cincinnati-based, seeks a Project Specialist (Finance) to partner with General Contracts Project Management, ensuring project milestones are met and profitability preserved from start to finish. You will organize communications, enter orders accurately, track ship dates, and coordinate with installers, consultants, and customers while maintaining cross-functional alignment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, 4-year degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in customer service or administrative work.
  • Experience delivering projects on time with strong prioritization.
  • Reading plans is essential for project field verification.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and reply to communications from consultants or customers.
  • Manage open order reports weekly to ensure date management.
  • Coordinate with installer, consultant or customer to verify field specs and installation.
  • Proactively provide milestones including ship dates and backorders.
  • Maintain communication with internal departments to meet milestones.
  • Be routinely available outside normal business hours.
  • Enter product orders accurately from field measures, quotes, specs, PO, submittals and shop drawings.
  • Organize and lead conference calls and meetings with project stakeholders.

Project Specialist (Finance)

The Project Specialist will work closely with the General Contracts Project Management team for high profile or general contractor projects as assigned. The Project Specialist will confidently organize and lead project related communications to ensure all project milestones are met and will be responsible for project accuracy while maintaining profitability of the project from beginning to end.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Receive and reply to all communications from assigned consultants or customers
  • Manager open order reports on a weekly basis to ensure date management protocol is followed
  • Works with installer, consultant or customer on a detailed level to ensure project is field verified and installed per specification and/or customer expectations
  • Proactively provide consultants or customers with important order milestones including ship dates and backorders
  • Maintain communication with internal departments to ensure all project related milestones are met
  • Is routinely available outside of normal business hours to address business needs
  • Responsible for accurate order entry of product based on field measures, quotes, designer specification and purchase order, along with submittals and shop drawings
  • Organizes and leads conference calls and meetings with project stakeholders
Qualifications Include:
Education
  • Required: High school diploma
  • Preferred: 4-year degree
Experience
  • Required: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in customer service and/or administrative work
  • Demonstrated success in managing priorities while meeting desired outcomes effectively
  • Preferred: 5+ years of relevant experience, with a strong track record of successful delivery
Skills
  • Required: Strong organizational skills
  • Preferred: Ability to create shop drawing/submittals
Special Skills
  • Required: Ability to read plans
  • Preferred: Bluebeam experience
