Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Project Specialist for a full-time, long-term contract role onsite with a 4-day work week. You will manage project documents, plans, data, and status reports while coordinating with vendors and stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma plus 2–5 years of nuclear project management experience or a technical/business degree, with strong communication and PMBOK/INPO knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, or 2–5 years of nuclear project management experience.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Knowledge of PMI-PMBOK and INPO 09-002 preferred.
• Pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen, and employment testing.
• Local to the area; no relocation or per diem offered.

• Communicate with Vendors, team members and stakeholders.
• Assist in managing Risk and Operating Experience.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project schedules.
• Participate in and occasionally lead Project Meetings.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of cost estimates.
• Track and report project status for actions, documents, implementation, etc.
• Prepare for project audits.
• Follow project process flows and complete predecessor/successor tasks.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining high quality of work.
• Ensure project plans and management documents are prepared, approved, communicated, and maintained.

About the role:

The Project Specialist is a full-time, long-term contract role. It offers a core schedule of a 4-day work week, 3 day weekend. It will report to our client's supervisor and is onsite.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Manage Project Document Library
• Maintain Project Management Plans
• Organize and analyze Project Data
• Update Project Status Reports
• Communicate with Vendors, team members and stakeholders
• Assist in managing Risk and Operating Experience
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project schedules

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field or vocational school such as electronics. Without a degree, must have 2-5 years’ experience in project management processes or nuclear experience.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Knowledgeable of client’s project management processes including knowledge of the PMI-PMBOK and INPO 09-002 Excellence in Nuclear Project Management, preferred
• Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana as well as CBD oil), and employment testing.
• Local to the area, no relocation or per diem offered
