Job summary

The Salvation Army in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Project SHARE Coordinator to manage energy assistance program records, verify eligibility, and process applications for payment. This full-time role requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

You will maintain agency contacts, support quarterly Advisory Council meetings, and collaborate with state utilities to secure funding for the Project Share program.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree from an accredited technical or vocational school.
• Two years of clerical or social service work experience in an office or public environment.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may satisfy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains client records for energy assistance programs and verifies eligibility.
• Recommends approval of applications outside guidelines on emergency/need basis; documents and forwards for payment.
• Maintains current agency listings and records; updates phone numbers and addresses; ensures data consistency.
• Attends quarterly Advisory Council meetings; presents reports and helps with questions on finances and statistics.
• Prepares and presents notes for management to inform on current programs and processes.
