To learn more about us, please visit www.thearcofpgc.org.Position Summary:Reporting to the Project Skill Director, the Skills Trainer responsibilities are to supervise and assist people in developing employment and social skills. These skills are required to integrate the person into a competitive employment opportunity in the community. Assures quality of services provided are consistent with The Arc, PGCPS and Host site mission and values; this position has no direct reports.Schedule: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am. to 3:30 pm.Key Responsibilities:Coach and support students in developing workplace, communication, and social skills.Provide individualized on-site job training and ongoing employment support.Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.Collaborate with families, employers, educators, and service providers to support successful employment outcomes.Build positive relationships with students, supervisors, and community employers.Help students overcome workplace challenges and develop strategies for success.Assist with the transition from Project SEARCH to ongoing employment services.Travel to community job sites to provide coaching and support.Complete required training, reports, and other assigned responsibilities in a timely manner.Bachelor's degree and one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities OR a high school diploma and at least three years of relevant experience.Experience in a vocational or employment setting preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively while maintaining respectful and professional interactions.Total Rewards:The Arc offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, to include medical, dental and vision plans.
