Job summary

GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, seeks a Project Scientist to support environmental projects in the southwest and beyond. You’ll collect and interpret field and lab data, assist with modeling, and contribute to reports for domestic and international clients.

This role emphasizes fieldwork, data analysis, and cross-disciplinary teamwork. The candidate will collaborate on mine closure, groundwater flow, and restoration projects while traveling to project sites in the Western

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hydrogeology, geosciences, soil science, geology or hydrology required.
  • Master's degree in hydrogeology/geosciences or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum five years of relevant research, consulting or environmental science experience.
  • Experience supporting mine closure, water management, monitoring or related projects preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to Western U.S. and/or international sites.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on mine closure, groundwater modeling, and restoration.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret physical, hydraulic, hydrologic and geochemical data.
  • Support field investigations including borehole drilling oversight and monitoring wells.
  • Assist with field data collection, instrumentation, and UAV data collection.
  • Prepare technical reports, memoranda, figures, and client/regulatory presentations.
  • Contribute to hydrologic investigations and reporting for domestic and international projects.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance as needed.
  • Travel to project sites and maintain a strong safety commitment.
