Job summary

Primoris T&D in Denton, TX is hiring a Scheduler to support Transmission and Substation Project Management. The role focuses on building and maintaining integrated schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, and Smartsheet, coordinating with field teams and customers.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of scheduling experience in industrial environments, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project scheduling experience in an industrial environment.
• Associate’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project and Smartsheet scheduling tools.
• Solid MS Excel skills and ability to perform data analysis.
• Experience with resource loading and CPM scheduling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet.
• Create baseline schedules and provide schedule updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and customers to gather progress data.
• Develop and maintain CPM schedules for transmission and substation projects.
• Integrate subcontractor schedules into the master schedule and ensure alignment.
• Perform resource loading and schedule analysis to support execution.
• Generate weekly/monthly schedule updates and performance metrics.
• Assist with recovery schedules and delay analysis as needed.

Job Overview

Primoris T&D provides construction, maintenance, and engineering of electric Transmission, Distribution, and Substation infrastructure. Ancillary services include wireless telecommunication installation, environmental cleanup, project management, and storm restoration services. Primoris T&D is seeking a Scheduler to support of Transmission and Substation Project Management Team in Denton, Texas. We're looking for a detailed, self-driven person that excels at handling multiple mid-to-large scale projects, crafting and maintaining schedules in Primavera P6, Microsoft Projects, Smartsheet, and collaborating with project and operations teams. If you have 3+ years of scheduling experience within an industrial environment, advanced excel skills, and a passion for managing multiple projects, this might be a great fit for you!

Job Duties

• Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet.
• Create baseline schedules and provide accurate schedule updates throughout projects lifecycle.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, field teams, and customers to gather progress and scheduling information.
• Develop and maintain Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules for transmission and substation projects.
• Integrate subcontractor schedules into the master project schedule and ensure overall schedule alignment.
• Perform resource loading, workforce planning, and schedule analysis to support project execution.
• Monitor project progress and identify impacts to critical path and near-critical path activities.
• Generate weekly and monthly schedule updates, progress reports, and schedule performance metrics.
• Support short-term and look-ahead planning to optimize field execution and workflow sequencing.
• Analyze schedule variances, delays, and risks, and recommend mitigation or recovery strategies.
• Assist project teams with schedule fragmentation, delay claim analysis, and recovery schedule development.
• Maintain schedule quality, data integrity, and professional collaboration with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Project Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of project scheduling experience
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Projects, and Smartsheet scheduling
• Resource loading
• Construction experience (Heavy Civil, Energy, or Utilities Preferred)
• Strong MS Excel skills, including working with charts, histograms, graphs, etc.
• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work well within a deadline driven environment
• Professional attitude and always maintaining positive conduct
• Must respect and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Must be able to perform in a fast paced, changing environment
