Job summary

LCRA is seeking a Project Scheduler to join its PMO, driving scheduling governance and continuous improvement across diverse portfolios. The role emphasizes mentoring team members in P6 best practices and ensuring governance across projects.

You will develop and maintain detailed WBS and project schedules, oversee schedule quality, and lead analysis to reflect actual work and changes, advancing the PMO in support of LCRA's mission and values.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in project controls, project management, scheduling, or related fields.
• Degree in project management, business, finance, or a related field; substitutions allowed per LCRA guidelines for experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as PMO trainer, mentor, and SME in scheduling software (P6) and schedule governance.
• Oversee portfolio and project schedules for consistency and accuracy across the PMO.
• Lead schedule quality and analysis, tracking progress and maintaining schedules to reflect changes.
• Develop and maintain decomposed WBS and project schedules to effectively manage projects.

How You'll Contribute

• Serve as PMO trainer, mentor, subject matter expert and leader in scheduling software (P6), schedule quality and analysis, resource management, project management and scheduling best practices.
• Perform oversight of portfolio and project schedules to ensure consistency and accuracy across the PMO.
• Lead project schedule quality and schedule analysis, measuring and tracking project progress, frequent and regular schedule maintenance to reflect actual work and changes.
• Lead project scheduling efforts by developing and maintaining accurately decomposed work breakdown structures and project schedules to effectively manage projects and drive project success.

How You're Qualified

• Nine or more years of experience in project controls, project management, project scheduling, business analytics, data analysis, budget analysis, or other relevant experience.
• A degree(s) in project management, business, accounting, finance, economics, engineering, construction management, math, science, computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
