Job summary

The Lower Colorado River Authority is seeking a Project Scheduler to join the PMO, bringing advanced P6 governance and scheduling expertise. You’ll mentor others, maintain decomposed WBS structures, and ensure schedule integrity across diverse portfolios.

You will lead schedule quality analyses, track progress, and coordinate with project teams to reflect actual work and changes, helping the PMO deliver projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 9+ years of experience in project controls, project management, scheduling, or related analytics.
  • Degree in project management, business, engineering, or related field; substitutions allowed per guidelines.
  • Proven ability to mentor others and govern scheduling best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of portfolio and project schedules to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Lead schedule quality and analysis; measure progress and maintain schedules reflecting changes.
  • Develop and maintain work breakdown structures and schedules for effective project management.
  • Serve as PMO trainer and mentor in scheduling software (P6) and governance.

Here's The Role

LCRA's Project Controls team is looking for a motivated Project Scheduler who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. As part of the PMO, we focus on customer service, partnering for solutions, and continuous improvement. You are a team player driven by new challenges, capable of utilizing advanced skillset across various project types and portfolios, enjoys mentoring and training team members in P6 best practices, and ensures P6 governance. This role offers a unique opportunity to stretch your project scheduling expertise to continue to advance the PMO in support of LCRA's mission, vision and values.

How You’ll Contribute
  • Serve as PMO trainer, mentor, subject matter expert and leader in scheduling software (P6), schedule quality and analysis, resource management, project management and scheduling best practices.
  • Perform oversight of portfolio and project schedules to ensure consistency and accuracy across the PMO.
  • Lead project schedule quality and schedule analysis, measuring and tracking project progress, frequent and regular schedule maintenance to reflect actual work and changes.
  • Lead project scheduling efforts by developing and maintaining accurately decomposed work breakdown structures and project schedules to effectively manage projects and drive project success.
How You’re Qualified
  • Nine or more years of experience in project controls, project management, project scheduling, business analytics, data analysis, budget analysis, or other relevant experience.
  • A degree(s) in project management, business, accounting, finance, economics, engineering, construction management, math, science, computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
