Job summary

Bowa Construction is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop and maintain detailed schedules across preconstruction to closeout. You will partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to track progress, analyze risks, and provide schedule-driven insights for informed decisions.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4+ years of scheduling experience in commercial construction, with proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of scheduling experience in commercial construction/mission critical.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with complex, multi-phase project schedules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate schedule impacts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and organization.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Develop baseline and detailed project schedules from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Build schedules that reflect project scope, sequencing, milestones, and contractual requirements.
  • Update schedules regularly to reflect actual progress and changes in the field.
  • Analyze schedule impacts related to design changes, scope revisions, delays, and recovery plans.
  • Perform critical path and float analysis.
  • Prepare schedule narratives, look-ahead schedules, and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to validate sequencing and construction logic.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and trade partners to incorporate accurate activity durations and constraints.
  • Support owner and consultant schedule reviews and meetings as needed.
  • Identify schedule risks early and propose mitigation or recovery strategies.
  • Assist project teams with schedule-driven planning and resource forecasting.
  • Support claims analysis, time impact analysis, and documentation when required.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed project schedules to support successful project delivery.   • Experience supporting healthcare, commercial, institutional, or large-scale projects
  • Familiarity with delay analysis and recovery scheduling
