A PE license or PMP is preferred, with a Bachelor's degree required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead initiation, planning, execution, and closing of projects; define WBS, cost baseline and OBS.
• Coordinate and manage teams; facilitate commitment and productivity.
• Apply quality and environmental processes to meet SPI/CPI targets <1.0.
• Oversee third-party projects with multiple stakeholders and clients.
• Own budgeting, scheduling, change, risk, communications, and contract issues.
• Act as main liaison between contractors and the client across all matters.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Manager I to join our team at K&A Engineering in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations

• Initiation, Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects — defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing to the risks, scope, schedule and budget
• Managing Teams — facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing teams
• Implementation and Management of Quality and Environmental Process and procedures on all projects focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0
• Management of third-party projects including other transmission Customers and interconnecting customers
• Accountable and Responsible for:
• Cost /Budgeting and Management
• Communication Management
• Change Management
• Schedule Management
• Construction Management Oversight
• Commissioning Management Oversight
• Risk Management
• Regulatory and Stakeholder Management
• Responsible for the execution and successful completion of the project and the main point of contact between contractors and the client on all project matter.
• Responsible for monitoring and measuring project performance throughout the project and resolving any contract disputes relative to costs, scope, and schedule.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree is Required
• 5+ years in large scale projects/program management for utility business
• Professional Engineer License and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and
• Project Management Professional or Program Management Professional
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the functional area under which it will be contracted: Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro and OSG

Pay Range: $115,000-$125,000/annually
