Job description

Our client, a leader in the utilities industry, is looking to hire a Project Engineer. *This is a hybrid role that will be onsite 3x per week in Valparaiso, IN.*

*This job is a 1-year contract role with benefits!*

As a Project Scheduler, you will develop, assess, analyze, progress project schedules for large capital projects. You will be the SME to the project management team, Major Project managers, Directors, and other stakeholders for proposed corrective, preventive, and predictive actions.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Predict project schedule & cost performance using risk management tools & techniques, improving schedule development, analyses, and forecasting for capital projects
• Develop qualitative and risk-managed integrated project baselines to measure project performance and provide the ability to take corrective, preventive, and predictive actions
• Orchestrate contract commercial management, conduct contract performance assessments, and report on contract performance to make recommendations to project management team
• Review and coordinate the management and utilization of project management guidelines, project management standards, processes, job aids, and tools

Required Skills & Experience

• High School Diploma & 4+ years of experience in Project Scheduling OR
• 6+ years of Construction / Engineering experience with 2 years in Project Scheduling OR
• Bachelor’s Degree & 4+ years of experience in Project Scheduling
• Ability to read, interpret, plan and schedule using scheduling software & databases
• Experience in large industrial Capital Project environments
• Must have valid Driver's License!

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Prior experience in the utilities or energy industry highly valued!
