In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of architecting, managing, and maintaining a master multi-workstream integrated schedule as the organization transitions from a legacy environment to a modern, cloud-first system of systems.

This position offers a hybrid model based in Olympia, WA (primarily remote with required onsite presence at least once per calendar month, as well as for key governance activities and committee meetings). The ideal candidate brings an authoritative, strategic mindset to schedule management and risk mitigation. You possess deep expertise in critical path analysis and enterprise-level Microsoft Project execution, paired with the leadership required to mentor matrixed teams. As a proactive thought partner to project leads, PMO directors, and executive stakeholders, you will transform dense schedule data into actionable business insights, driving organizational alignment across government, vendor, and contractor personnel.

Positions Responsibilities include:
  • Architect and maintain a master, cloud-aligned Microsoft Project program-level integrated schedule that incorporates critical path analysis, resource leveling, baselines, and complex task dependencies across concurrent workstreams.
  • Lead proactive risk and issue identification by analyzing schedule variance, tracking critical path deviations, and formulating robust mitigation strategies with project leads and program leadership.
  • Produce and distribute high-impact schedule deliverables, including the Weekly Integrated Schedule Report, Overall Program Risk Log, and Monthly Status Reports for executive steering committees and oversight boards.
  • Design and execute the overarching Schedule Management Plan, setting program-wide standards for task structure, baseline management, and reporting cadences.
  • Coach and transfer knowledge to PMO staff and workstream leads, upskilling the broader team on scheduling best practices, Microsoft Project optimization, and risk tracking.
  • Represent the integrated scheduling function in high-visibility governance briefings and executive leadership engagements. Maintain scope integrity and schedule accuracy within enterprise Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint collaboration environments.

  • Current PMP Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in good standing.
  • Proven track record designing, building, and unifying integrated master schedules (IMS) across complex, matrixed environments comprising public sector, vendor, and contractor teams.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating knowledge transfer, establishing scheduling job aids, and coaching PMs with varying levels of technical scheduling skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Project Management, Information Technology, or Business Administration. Advanced PMI certifications (e.g., PMI-SP / Scheduling Professional).
  • Prior experience supporting public sector agencies, state governance frameworks, or legislative reporting environments.
