Job summary

Safe Harbor Marinas is seeking a highly organized Project Scheduler to oversee and implement project timelines. You will collaborate with trade managers and project managers, set tasks, monitor schedules, and prepare progress reports.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in project management or related field, plus at least two years of scheduler experience and strong MS Projects skills. ABYC certifications are preferred; you will be coordinating with multiple departments and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in project management or related field.
  • PMI-SP certification preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a project scheduler in a related industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Projects scheduling software.
  • Extensive experience in schedule planning and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of project scopes in the industry.
  • Ability to evaluate progress and facilitate interventions.
  • Ability to keep stakeholders informed of timelines and changes.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly organized project scheduler to implement and oversee project schedules. In this role, you will be collaborating with trade managers & project managers, setting tasks, and monitoring the execution of project timelines. You may also prepare project progress and performance evaluation reports.

To ensure success, project schedulers should possess solid industry knowledge and demonstrable experience in project scheduling. A top-notch project scheduler will be someone whose expertise leads to the successful realization of envisaged project goals.

  • Consulting with project managers and trade managers to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system.
  • Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project timelines and deadlines.
  • Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timeous manner.
  • Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports.
  • Accommodating updates and changes to project schedules.
  • Keeping stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines.
  • Documenting project scheduling processes and maintaining records.
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, or in a related field.
  • Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP) will be advantageous.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a project scheduler in a related industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software: MS Projects.
  • Extensive experience in schedule planning and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within the industry.

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
  • Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area.
  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
  • Any skills considered standard that a Service Advisor should possess
