Job summary

ARCO/Murray, a leading construction firm, seeks a Senior Project Scheduler to develop and maintain master schedules for active projects. You will partner with project teams to shape schedule structure, track milestones, and ensure updates reflect field progress.

Ideal candidates have 1–5 years with a GC, strong Primavera skills, and the ability to travel nationwide. Procore and BIM familiarity are a plus, with a focus on data center or mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-5 years of scheduling experience with a General Contractor.
  • Direct experience supporting data center construction, mission-critical, or highly technical commercial projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) (required); Microsoft Project a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to travel nationwide.
  • Familiarity with Procore and BIM is a plus.
  • Internship or entry-level experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain schedules for active construction projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Team to structure schedules before scope development.
  • Track milestones and deviations; compare progress to plan.
  • Coordinate sequencing, manpower timing, and major milestones.
  • Participate in scheduling meetings and keep updates current.
  • Prepare monthly schedule reports and project updates.
  • Review subcontractor schedules for alignment.
  • Assist superintendents with 3-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Travel to job sites to monitor progress.
  • Maintain records of schedule changes and performance data.
  • Learn scheduling best practices and software across multiple projects.

Typical base compensation for this role is between $90,000 and $110,000. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules for active construction projects.
  • Work with the Project Team to help develop schedule structure and layout before detailed scope-based development begins.
  • Track milestones, compare actual progress against the plan, and help identify schedule deviations.
  • Support project teams in coordinating sequencing, manpower timing, and major schedule milestones.
  • Participate in internal scheduling meetings and help keep schedule updates current and accurate.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly schedule reporting and project-specific schedule updates.
  • Help review subcontractor schedules and identify opportunities for improvement or alignment with the overall project schedule.
  • Assist superintendents with 3-week look-ahead schedules to ensure field planning aligns with the master project schedule.
  • Travel to job sites as needed to monitor progress and better understand construction sequencing in the field.
  • Maintain organized records of schedule updates, revisions, and historical performance data.
  • Learn scheduling best practices, reporting methods, and scheduling software while supporting multiple projects concurrently.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-5 years of scheduling experience with a General Contractor
  • Direct experience supporting data center construction, mission-critical, or highly technical commercial projects
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) (required); experience with Microsoft Project a plus
  • High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within project teams and manage assignments independently.
  • Ability to travel to project sites nationwide and walk the job site as needed.
  • Familiarity with Procore and BIM as they relate to sequencing and coordination is a plus.
  • Internship or entry-level experience with a general contractor or construction manager is preferred
