Overview

Leidos Engineering is seeking a Project Scheduler to assist in the oversight and coordination of projects for a large electric utility client. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in scheduling complex projects and programs related to the planning, design, and construction of electrical grid infrastructure. This role will have client facing responsibilities and requires expertise in navigating the regulatory landscape and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and drive engineering and construction schedules for various sized transmission & distribution projects for public- and investor-owned electric utilities located throughout the United States.
  • Work with Project Management using earned value management techniques to ensure that schedule and costs are aligned, including the development of recovery plans to stay within approved limits.
  • Partner closely with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables.
  • Develop and produce schedule weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review, which includes resource loading analysis, schedules, critical path items and risk analysis.
  • Interface directly with the client and internal management to report progress, schedule and risks across a portfolio of electrical distribution projects.
  • Assist the project manager with the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI tracking.
Background Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or Finance.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant Primavera P6 scheduling experience.
  • Recent and in-depth knowledge of electric power infrastructure projects within transmission or distribution design.
  • Capability for planning, organizing, directing and tracking technical efforts on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to track cost and schedule status of assigned tasks.
  • Ability to interact with customer representatives effectively.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency utilizing MS Project and MS Office suite with a heavy emphasis on MS Excel.
  • Previous experience working with Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities is preferred, but not required.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $65,650.00 - $118,675.00
