Responsibilities

• Lead project-level safety programs on active industrial and commercial construction sites.

• Verify employee training, certifications, drug testing requirements, and site qualifications.
• Promote proactive hazard recognition and risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintain strong client relationships and represent CCC professionally during safety meetings.
• Encourage employee engagement through observation, coaching, and continuous improvement efforts.

Position Overview

The Project Safety Specialist II serves as a key partner to operations and project leadership, providing guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.

This role is responsible for supporting field operations through hazard identification, safety planning, employee engagement, training initiatives, incident prevention, and continuous improvement efforts. • Experience supporting industrial construction and heavy commercial construction projects
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
• Ability to work independently and provide field leadership
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred

• Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP)
• First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Narcan Administration training
• Experience leading contractor safety programs
• Experience conducting audits, investigations, and safety training
• Familiarity with manufacturing, automotive, energy, or industrial construction environments

Work Environment

This role is based primarily on active construction sites and may include:

• Fast-paced project environments
• Indoor and outdoor work locations
• Exposure to changing weather conditions
• Simultaneous support of multiple project activities
• Work around elevated surfaces, heavy equipment, power tools, and industrial processes
