Job summary

Safety Worxs, LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator for a 5-6 month project. The PSC will lead and manage all construction safety activities from project commencement through substantial completion.

Must have 7+ years of building construction safety experience, with 5+ years in safety process management; or 4-year safety degree with 3+ years field safety experience. OSHA 500 or 502 required; construction-only focus.

• Conduct incident investigations and prepare documentation with preventive recommendations.
• Provide documented continuing education and practical training in Fall Protection, Scaffolds, Excavation & Trenching, Confined Space, Crane/Equipment Operations, Electrical Safety, Incident Investigation.
• Review and approve safety method statements and procedures related to high-hazard activities.

Job description

Safety Worxs is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator (PSC) for a 5-6 month project in Austin, TX. The PSC is responsible for leading and managing all construction safety activities from project commencement through substantial completion.

Must have 7 years of recent, consecutive building construction for a GC and an OSHA 500 or 502 to be considered. This means you were building parking garages, churches, offices, schools. This does not include industrial, or oil and gas.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years building construction safety, including: 5+ years in construction safety process management; or 4-year safety degree and 3+ years of actual field safety experience.
• ** Experience must be building construction only (General Industry or specialty-only backgrounds will not qualify)
• Must possess OSHA 500 (Construction Industry Trainer) OR OSHA 502 (Trainer Update).OSHA 10 or 30 and OSHA 510 do not satisfy the training requirement.

Preferred:

• CSP, CHST, or other BCSP certifications (may count toward experience)
• Proven ability to build and maintain a proactive safety culture
