Job summary

X Energy, LLC seeks a Project Risk Analyst to design and lead a comprehensive risk management program covering enterprise and project risks affecting safety, quality, and delivery. You will implement tools and processes for risk identification, evaluation, triggers, handling, monitoring, and control, coordinating across teams.

You will work with leadership to develop mitigation strategies, bring customers into risk management during development, and support Business Development as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, business, finance or related technical field is required.
• 15+ years of risk management experience, with at least 5 years in project engineering/management, design, operation or maintenance of power generation or industrial facilities in nuclear industry.
• Formal training or certification in project management (PMI-PMP, PMI-RMP, AACE, MBA, or MS in Engineering Management) is required.
• Experience with risk management for large, complex projects including engineering, procurement and construction, licensing agreements, etc.

• Oversee identification, communication, measurement and management of enterprise-level and project-specific risks.
• Establish tools, processes, and procedures for risk identification, evaluation, triggering events, handling, monitoring and controlling actions.

Job Description

The Project Risk Analyst at TRISO-X will develop, manage, and oversee a comprehensive risk management program that identifies, measures, and manages enterprise-level and project-specific risks affecting safety, quality, project execution, and delivery. This role will set up the tools, processes, and procedures for risk identification, evaluation, trigger events, handling, and monitoring and control. And work closely with risk management staff and leadership to build mitigation strategies that prevent harmful practices and support sound business decisions. When risks overlap, this role coordinates them across multiple teams and stakeholders. And will also bring customers into joint risk management during customer development and capture, and support Business Development as needed.

Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Oversee the identification, communication, measurement, and management of enterprise-level and project-specific risks.
• Establishes tools, processes, and procedures for performing risk identification, evaluation, trigger events, handling, and monitoring and controlling actions.
• Works closely with risk management personnel and leadership to identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate or prevent potentially harmful activities/practices and to enable smart business decisions.
• Coordinates overlapping project risks with multiple teams or stakeholders.
• Engages customers in joint risk management during customer development and capture.
• Provides general risk management support to the Business Development organization as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, business, finance, or related technical field is required.
• 15 plus years of risk management experience (and at least five years of those years within project engineering/management, design, operation, or maintenance of power generation or industrial processes facilities, in the nuclear industry).
• Formal training, certification, course work, or work experience in project management. (e.g., PMIPMP, PMI-RMP, AACE certification, MBA, or MS Engineering Management).
• Experience with risk management for large, complex projects including engineering, procurement and construction, licensing agreements, etc.

Work Site Expectations: 5 days onsite

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri

Compensation

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual’s qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this level V position is:

$170,625 - $194,250
