Role Summary: Summit Electric Supply is seeking candidates to fill the role of Lighting Controls Specialist. The Lighting Controls Specialist will assist the company’s growing Lighting Controls Department and will support the overall objective of growing lighting controls sales. Responsibilities of the Lighting Controls Specialist include designing IECC code compliant lighting controls systems, assisting outside sales as a technical resource and support Electrical Contractors by producing documentation to support lighting controls specifications, performing take-offs and designs of lighting controls systems from construction documents in preparation for bidding, and coordinating all aspects of controls systems to ensure reliable and functional system delivery, startup and commissioning. This position includes both in-office and on-site tasks working on a wide variety of system and projects.
All applicants for this position must possess strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are highly desirable. The applicant should be able to function in a fast-paced setting with a high task load.
