Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Project Quality Manager II to own quality on capital projects from the owner's side, drafting the project quality plan and defining surveillance and audit programs for contractors and suppliers.

You will review subcontractor QC plans, lead audits, manage nonconformance, and report metrics to project leadership and the owner's quality organization. Travel to sites and long-range planning are required; Texas-based roles may be dispatched from Sugar Land.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in quality on construction or industrial capital projects.
• 2+ years leading a project quality program.
• ISO 9001 lead or internal auditor certification.
• ASQ CQA or CMQ-OE preferred.
• Experience with owner-side quality programs in industrial, energy, infrastructure, or federal work.

Responsibilities

• Write the project quality plan and the contractor and supplier quality requirements that flow from it.
• Plan and lead surveillance and audits of contractors and suppliers.
• Qualify vendors and inspection agencies.
• Review and accept contractor QC plans, ITPs, procedures, and inspector qualifications.
• Own the project nonconformance, corrective-action, and lessons-learned processes.
• Report quality metrics and risks to project leadership and the owner's quality organization.
