Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Project Quality Manager to lead quality activities on one or more projects. You will ensure adherence to contract requirements, project specifications, and the company’s QMS, while guiding corrective actions and continuous improvement.

The role requires a engineering/construction background, 2–5 years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills to coordinate across cross-functional teams and with clients on quality issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant work experience.
• 2–5 years of relevant technical, quality or construction experience.
• Knowledge of construction standards/specifications (USACE, DOT, ASTM, ACI, AASHTO) preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of the Project Quality Plan and ensure compliance.
• Communicate and implement plan to meet Ames’ Quality Management System requirements.
• Lead internal audits and manage nonconformances and NCRs.
• Train project teams on applicable QMS processes and tools.
• Report on project KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
