Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Project Quality Manager I to oversee owner-side quality on capital projects, performing surveillance, reviewing QC plans and records, tracking audit findings, and reporting quality status to the project quality lead. This role suits an inspector or QC engineer who wants to shape quality requirements rather than execute contractor QC on-site.

Your week alternates between field observations and document reviews, ensuring records align with the owner's quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• A certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
• Comfortable reading specifications, procedures, and inspection records and finding the gaps.
• Clear written reporting.
• Organized under document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness and compliance
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database
• Witness hold and witness points and document the results
• Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager
