Zachry Group in Texas is seeking a Project Procurement Manager I to lead a project procurement team and ensure procurement activities align with SOPs and project processes. You will own full life-cycle procurement, including vendor management, contract negotiation, risk mitigation, and coordination with engineering, project management, and construction teams.

The role requires leading complex RFPs and supplier negotiations, setting up and maintaining procurement tools, and developing strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, supply chain, engineering or related field.
• Applicants may substitute 10 years of related procurement experience for a bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: professional certification in procurement or supply management.

Responsabilités

• Lead, train, and oversee day-to-day work of the procurement team to ensure SOP and project process compliance.
• Lead RFPs, bid evaluations, and supplier negotiations for complex events with major subcontractors and suppliers.
• Set up and maintain project SharePoint folders, RFP software, and templates.
• Communicate with the Supply Chain Project Manager, identify issues and risks, and outline mitigation actions.
• Collaborate with Category Managers on procurement strategies for major spend categories.
• Manage post-award changes and monitor supplier performance against contracts.
• Interface with Legal, Commercial, and PMT to manage contract changes.
