What You Will Do
  • Develop Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) plans for WFT US facilities and Canadian OSB, collaborating with internal resources and specialist consultants.
  • Coordinate with Fire and Explosion Prevention companies to address risks identified in DHA.
  • Create installation plans with budgets and timelines based on DHA findings and work with specialized companies.
  • Engage with mills regularly to ensure proper execution of safety findings.
  • Schedule and oversee process safety audits at mills.
  • Lead corrective action plans with divisions.
  • Manage contractor safety programs, ensuring compliance and record maintenance.
  • Assist with incident investigations related to contractor safety.
  • Conduct regular meetings and audits to promote safety management.
  • Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
  • BSc in mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering or related experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in an industrial/project role; 5+ preferred.
  • Experience in heavy industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of NFPA or equivalent dust hazard regulations (e.g., NFPA 68, 654, ATEX).
  • Experience in risk assessment and management of change in heavy industry (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Office 365, MS Project, Smart Sheets.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Leadership qualities and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
