What You Will Do
- Develop Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA) plans for WFT US facilities and Canadian OSB, collaborating with internal resources and specialist consultants.
- Coordinate with Fire and Explosion Prevention companies to address risks identified in DHA.
- Create installation plans with budgets and timelines based on DHA findings and work with specialized companies.
- Engage with mills regularly to ensure proper execution of safety findings.
- Schedule and oversee process safety audits at mills.
- Lead corrective action plans with divisions.
- Manage contractor safety programs, ensuring compliance and record maintenance.
- Assist with incident investigations related to contractor safety.
- Conduct regular meetings and audits to promote safety management.
- Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
- BSc in mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering or related experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in an industrial/project role; 5+ preferred.
- Experience in heavy industrial environments.
- Knowledge of NFPA or equivalent dust hazard regulations (e.g., NFPA 68, 654, ATEX).
- Experience in risk assessment and management of change in heavy industry (preferred).
- Proficiency with Office 365, MS Project, Smart Sheets.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Leadership qualities and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
