Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provides recommendations and guidelines involving programs / initiatives.
  • Coordinates program planning and collaboration with program / project staff.
  • Support coordination, documentation, participant engagement tracking, and limited peer navigation activities related to the project's digital health application.
  • Applies professional or research concepts to perform analysis of data and systems pertaining to moderately complex projects, policies, initiatives, / processes, and / or functions.
  • Gathers and assembles analytical and factual data on assigned problems and issues to prepare reports and / or analyses summarizing information on the assigned issues and commenting on other significance for internal or external constituents.
  • Prepares, edits and modifies documents including research reports, manuscripts, presentations and proposals.
  • Using subject matter knowledge, collects and prepares information for use in discussions, meetings of internal and external constituents.
  • On a project basis, performs analytical studies on a variety of policies, research initiatives, programs and issues.

The JJBH team's portfolio includes projects and programs focused on behavioral health service navigation for youth, young adults, and families, including navigator programs for transition-age youth recently or currently involved in foster care, family navigation in Pediatric Primary Care at ZSFG, telehealth interventions for youth and families impacted by the child welfare system, digital health interventions, and evaluation of gender-responsive behavioral health services for girls and women who have contact with the justice system.

Department Overview

The Division of Infant, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ICAP) at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant on Dr. Marina Tolou-Shams' Juvenile inJustice Behavioral Health (JJBH) research team. The UCSF-SFGH JJBH research team engages in a program of research that incorporates epidemiological/observation, behavioral intervention efficacy trial, and structural-level approaches to understanding how to improve behavioral health (HIV and sexually transmitted infections risk, psychiatric symptoms, substance use), and legal (recidivism) outcomes for system-involved youth and adults. The JJBH team also has a portfolio of work focusing on projects and programs specific to behavioral health service navigation for youth, young adults and families (e.g., a navigator program for transition age youth recently or currently involved in foster care, a family navigator program for youth and families served in Pediatric Primary Care at ZSFG), telehealth interventions for youth and families impacted by the child welfare system, and evaluation of gender-responsive behavioral health services for girls and women who have contact with the justice system (e.g., evaluation of VoicesHEAL gender responsive services).

Key Responsibilities
  • 30% - Provides recommendations and guidelines involving programs / initiatives.
  • 25% - Coordinates program planning and collaboration with program / project staff.
  • 20% - Support coordination, documentation, participant engagement tracking, and limited peer navigation activities related to the project's digital health application.
  • 5% - Applies professional or research concepts to perform analysis of data and systems pertaining to moderately complex projects, policies, initiatives, / processes, and / or functions.
  • 5% - Gathers and assembles analytical and factual data on assigned problems and issues to prepare reports and / or analyses summarizing information on the assigned issues and commenting on other significance for internal or external constituents.
  • 5% - Prepares, edits and modifies documents including research reports, manuscripts, presentations and proposals.

Required Qualifications
