Job summary

Intermoor in Houston is seeking an experienced Project Planner to develop, maintain, and control integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, fabrication, logistics, mobilization, offshore installation, and closeout. You will own Primavera P6 scheduling for assigned projects and provide schedule analysis, progress measurement, and reporting to support timely project decisions and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of project planning, scheduling, or project controls experience.
• Hands-on Primavera P6 experience with resource-loaded schedules.
• Experience in engineering, offshore, marine construction, fabrication, energy, or EPC projects preferred.
• PMI Scheduling Professional, AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional, PMP desirable.
• Strong knowledge of CPM scheduling, WBS development, baselining, and progress measurement.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and maintenance of Primavera P6 schedules from project award through closeout.
• Create the work breakdown structure, activity logic, calendars, milestones, baselines, and coding needed to represent the approved execution plan.
• Collect and validate progress updates, analyze schedule performance, and forecast completion dates.
• Identify critical path changes, constraints, resource conflicts, and schedule risks; recommend mitigation or recovery actions.
• Maintain resource-loaded schedules and project resource demand forecasts in coordination with Project Management and functional leads.
• Provide clear schedule reports and look-aheads for project teams, clients, and leadership.
• Develop Level 1 through detailed execution schedules as required by the project and client.
• Convert the project scope and execution strategy into sequenced activities, logic, milestones, and deliverables.
• Establish and maintain approved schedule baselines and support proposal and tender schedule development.
• Update schedules with validated actual dates, remaining durations, progress, and forecast information.
• Perform critical path, float, variance, and trend analysis; identify delays, constraints, and emerging schedule risk.
• Maintain schedule narratives, assumptions, exclusions, and change records.
• Load labor and other project resources into Primavera P6 at the level required for planning and reporting.
• Forecast resource demand by discipline, project phase, location, and time period.
• Compare project demand with available capacity and highlight overloads, gaps, competing priorities, and mobilization needs.
• Analyze resource profiles, histograms, and utilization trends to support workload balancing and staffing decisions.
• Report schedule status, critical path movement, forecast dates, resource pressures, and required decisions.
• Apply company and client planning standards, schedule quality checks, and reporting requirements.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related discipline. Equivalent relevant education and experience may be considered
• Minimum three years of project planning, scheduling, or project controls experience
• Demonstrated hands-on Primavera P6 experience, including resource-loaded schedules
• Experience supporting engineering, offshore, marine construction, fabrication, energy, or EPC projects preferred
• PMI Scheduling Professional, AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional, PMP, or equivalent certification is desirable
• Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method scheduling, WBS development, activity logic, baselining, float, and progress measurement
• Ability to build and control integrated schedules for engineering, procurement, fabrication, logistics, and offshore execution
• Strong resource-loading, capacity-planning, forecasting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Clear written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple schedules, priorities, and reporting deadlines with accuracy
• Primavera P6 at an advanced level, including schedule development, baselines, updates, coding, layouts, resource loading, analysis, and reporting
• Microsoft Project and advanced Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, charts, and data analysis.
• Power BI or similar dashboard tools preferred
• Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
• Familiarity with ERP and project reporting systems
