Job summary

Community College of Vermont is seeking a Project Manager for Workforce Partnerships & Programs to support the workforce team’s initiatives aligned with the college’s mission. You will coordinate day-to-day operational aspects of workforce projects, including grant-funded initiatives, open enrollment programs, apprenticeships, and professional development offerings.

You will manage project budgets, assist students with enrollment, and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus three (3) to six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in project management, workforce development, continuing education, higher education administration, or a related field.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel statewide are required. Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day operational aspects of multiple workforce education projects from planning through completion.
  • Assist workforce students with registration and enrollment tasks.
  • Develop course building, registration processes, and participant communications.
  • Support employer training programs, webinars, workshops, apprenticeships, credential programs, and open enrollment offerings.
  • Collaborate with Academic Coordinators, faculty, and College departments to deliver workforce education programming.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for stakeholders.
  • Monitor grant compliance and manage budgets and contracts.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts and promotional materials for programs.
  • Represent CCV with employers, partners, and community organizations.

The Project Manager, Workforce Partnerships & Programs works collaboratively to support the workforce team’s workforce education initiatives that align with the Community College of Vermont's mission and strategic priorities. Under the direction of the Senior Executive Director of Workforce, this position is responsible for coordinating day-to-day operational aspects of workforce projects, including grant-funded initiatives, customized employer training, open enrollment programs, apprenticeships, industry-recognized credential programs, conferences, and professional development offerings. The Project Manager manages project budgets and logistics and assists workforce students with registration and enrollment.

Essential Functions

Support multiple workforce education projects simultaneously from planning through completion. Support workforce students with workforce program related tasks. Coordinate day-to-day operational aspects of workforce projects including course building, registration, and participant communications. Working collaboratively with the workforce team, support employer training programs, webinars, workshops, apprenticeships, credential programs, and open enrollment offerings. Collaborate with Academic Coordinators, faculty, and College departments to coordinate the development and delivery of workforce education programming. Manage customer service activities including responding to employer, student, instructor, and community inquiries. Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders. Monitor project outcomes and ensure compliance with grant requirements, contracts, and College policies. Coordinate marketing efforts with College Communications and assist in developing promotional materials for workforce education programs. Represent CCV with employers, workforce partners, government agencies, and community organizations. Support the workforce team in growing partnerships with employers, business and industry, workforce organizations, municipalities, economic development organizations, and community partners. Identify workforce education needs through research of job postings and LMI data. Assist in identifying grant opportunities and coordinating workforce development proposals. Serve as an ambassador for CCV by participating in community meetings, conferences, advisory boards, and workforce development initiatives. Promote the accessibility and expansion of workforce education, continuing education, and industry-recognized credential programs throughout Vermont. Coordinate with local CCV Academic Centers to strengthen workforce partnerships and expand educational opportunities. Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Public Administration, Project Management, Workforce Development, Marketing, or a related field, plus three (3) to six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in project management, workforce development, continuing education, higher education administration, or a related field; or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel statewide are required. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a related field.

Physical Requirements

Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties as a result of repetitive motion and/or long periods of standing or sitting. Duties require little physical effort in work with light to moderate (up to 25lbs) easy-to-handle materials.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a general office environment with frequent interruptions and multiple competing priorities. Regular statewide travel to CCV Academic Centers, employer locations, community organizations, conferences, and workforce events is required. Evening and occasional weekend work may be necessary to support workforce education programming and special events.
