Job summary

Midway Painting Company is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to ensure subcontractors and hourly painters adhere to MPC painting processes and deliver high-quality work on site in Utah.

You will train crews, enforce uniforms and branding, coordinate with Operations and Account Managers, address issues, and conduct inspections from prep to substantial completion to ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Train subcontractors and hourly painters on MPC painting processes as required in the field.
• Enforce the wearing of MPC shirts by painters; provide new shirts if necessary and deduct the cost from job paychecks using the jobber expense system.
• Ensure painters' vehicles only display MPC magnets or decals, without any other logos. Provide magnets if needed and record the expense in jobber to deduct it from job paychecks.
• Collaborate effectively with the Operations Manager and Account Managers to ensure optimal customer experience and execution of job.
• Address quality control issues promptly as they arise during jobs.
• Listen attentively and communicate effectively with customers on job sites, making them feel heard while finding solutions to any issues.
• Attend pre-conn meetings and ensure subcontractors or painters understand the scope of work and have a well-defined plan to meet deadlines. Ensure we have the correct crew size.
• Conduct inspections of prep work on jobs to ensure proper completion before crews begin spraying or painting, with a particular focus on interior trim and wood exteriors.
• Participate in substantial completion walks with subcontractors or painters to ensure no touch-ups or overspray remain, and approve the work for scheduling a final inspection with the homeowner or superintendent.
• Assist in training subcontractors on quality control practices, aiming for no touch-ups during substantial completion walks.
