Job summary

Centerline is seeking an Experienced OSP Telecom Project Manager in Rahway, NJ to oversee multiple client projects and turnkey network deployments. This on-site role requires strong field experience (aerial & underground) and coordination across site acquisition, regulatory, construction, and permitting.

Your responsibilities include developing project plans and budgets, traveling to multiple sites, leading deployment meetings, and ensuring complete, timely documentation and billing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in telecommunications, or related industry.
• 6-10 years of project management experience with 5+ years specific to telecom.
• Strong MS Office desirable; SAGE experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints; manage workflows in a matrixed organization.
• Willingness to travel; overnight stays as required.
• Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned resources and projects to completion, coordinating site acquisition, regulatory, construction, and permitting to meet time and budget targets.
• Travel to job sites in-state and out-of-state; meet customers; prepare estimates for RFQs.
• Develop accurate project plans and budgets; modify and direct close-out of completed jobs with required documentation.
• Lead internal deployment meetings with managers to review status and implement changes for timely completion.
• Walk a job and create estimates.
• Attend customer meetings to provide status reports and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure files and close-out documents are complete and distributed per standards.
• Maintain accurate project records in the tracking system.
• Create, assemble, and verify billing documentation.
• Collaborate with diverse personnel; field experience preferred.
• Perform project estimating and accommodate heavy travel as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Experienced OSP Telecom Project Manager with a strong field (aerial & underground) telecom construction background, responsible for overseeing multiple client projects and turnkey network deployments. As a Project Manager, you will ensure all project deliverables, documentation, and performance objectives are met to successfully deliver turnkey network solutions. This position is based in Rahway NJ and is not a remote role.

What You Will Do

• Manage assigned resources and projects to completion, ensuring that all activities, including site acquisition, regulatory, construction, and permitting are coordinated and completed on time and within budget.
• Travel to job multiple sites in and out of the state, meet with customers, review projects and prepare estimates for RFQ’s for customers
• Develop accurate project plan and budget for all assigned projects, modify as needed and direct close-out of completed jobs including the receipt of all required documentation.
• Lead internal deployment meetings with other managers and team members to review the status of each job and implement changes as necessary to ensure timely project completion.
• Ability to walk a job and create estimates.
• Lead and attend customer meetings to provide customer with comprehensive job status reports and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise.
• Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate close-out documents are distributed in a timely manner in accordance with corporate and customer standards.
• Ensure that all jobs are maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracy.
• Create, assemble, and verify documentation for billing
• Ability to work with a variety of personnel, actual telecom field experience desire
• Project estimating and heavy travel required
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to efficiently and effectively work with heavily matrixed organization and teams
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to direct the diagnosis of workflow problems, critical paths and institute remedies
• Ability to read and understand financial metrics and identify remedies to financial issues
• Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to travel; overnights as required
