Responsibilities

• Manage assigned resources and projects to completion, ensuring site acquisition, regulatory, construction, and permitting are coordinated and completed on time and within budget.
• Travel to job sites, meet with customers, review projects and prepare estimates for RFQ’s.
• Develop accurate project plans and budgets for all assigned projects, direct close-out with required documentation.
• Lead internal deployment meetings to review status and implement changes for timely completion.
• Attend customer meetings to provide comprehensive job status reports and resolve issues.
• Maintain complete project files and ensure close-out documents are distributed per standards.
• Keep projects in a tracking system with complete accuracy.
• Create, assemble, and verify documentation for billing.
• Work with telecom field personnel; heavy travel required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

Experienced OSP Telecom Project Manager with a strong field (aerial & underground) telecom construction background, responsible for overseeing multiple client projects and turnkey network deployments. As a Project Manager, you will ensure all project deliverables, documentation, and performance objectives are met to successfully deliver turnkey network solutions. The ideal candidate would have experience in the field building fiber optic networks and has progressed in their career.

This position is based in Rahway NJ and is not a remote role.

What You Will Do:

• Manage assigned resources and projects to completion, ensuring that all activities, including site acquisition, regulatory, construction, and permitting are coordinated and completed on time and within budget.
• Travel to job multiple sites in and out of the state, meet with customers, review projects and prepare estimates for RFQ’s for customers
• Develop accurate project plan and budget for all assigned projects, modify as needed and direct close-out of completed jobs including the receipt of all required documentation.
• Lead internal deployment meetings with other managers and team members to review the status of each job and implement changes as necessary to ensure timely project completion.
• Ability to walk a job and create estimates.
• Lead and attend customer meetings to provide customer with comprehensive job status reports and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise.
• Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate close-out documents are distributed in a timely manner in accordance with corporate and customer standards.
• Ensure that all jobs are maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracy.
• Create, assemble, and verify documentation for billing
• Ability to work with a variety of personnel, actual telecom field experience desire
• Project estimating and heavy travel required

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in the telecommunications, or related industry
• 6-10 years of project management experience with 5+ years specific to telecom
• Advanced knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management
• Ability to efficiently and effectively work with heavily matrixed organization and teams
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to direct the diagnosis of workflow problems, critical paths and institute remedies
• Ability to read and understand financial metrics and identify remedies to financial issues
• Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach
• Willingness to travel; overnights as required
