Project Manager - water/wastewater/stormwater - New England (remote allowed)

Join to apply for the Project Manager - water/wastewater/stormwater - New England (remote allowed) role at Brown and Caldwell.

Brown and Caldwell is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our New England Municipal Services team. This full-time position involves contributing to project delivery and client service teams in planning, evaluation, design, permitting, and construction support for Drinking Water, Wastewater, and Water Resources projects. Projects include wastewater treatment plants, water plant designs, biosolids processing, pumping stations, pipelines, stormwater management, MS4 compliance, and integrated water resources for municipal clients. We seek a Civil/Mechanical/Environmental Engineer with a PE license to partner with our Northeast leadership to grow our presence while overseeing projects and mentoring engineers.

Candidates must reside in New England but may work remotely. Travel (~25%) to client sites within the region is required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Project leadership: Setting objectives, decision-making, schedules, budgets, and success factors; establishing communication methods; supporting team motivation and trust; fostering an environment for ideas and diversity; developing team members.
  • Project execution: Defining scope, developing schedules and budgets, ensuring quality, managing changes and risks, and monitoring project metrics and performance.
  • Client relations and business development: Building client relationships, assessing satisfaction, and supporting sales and marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
  • BS in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering/Science field.
  • Experience in planning, designing, permitting, or construction support for water-related projects.
  • 4-8 years in Project Management with skills in scheduling and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
  • Ability to travel regionally (~25%).
Preferred:
  • MS or MBA in related fields.
  • PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Supervisory or mentoring experience advantageous.
