Job description

Project Manager – Water/Wastewater Infrastructure

Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas

Garver’s Water Design Center in Fayetteville, AR seeks an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead teams of multi‑discipline design engineers and CAD technicians on water infrastructure projects. The role will produce design phase deliverables such as reports, studies, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, details, and specifications, while collaborating closely with clients to exceed their expectations of service.

Responsibilities
  • Design and manage projects related to water distribution including pump stations, storage facilities, and distribution mains
  • Design and manage projects related to wastewater collection including lift stations, force mains, and gravity sewers
  • Pipeline inspection and rehabilitation
  • Water and wastewater master planning

Additionally, the role includes coordination with support disciplines, regional offices, regulating agencies, and quality assurance and quality control. Periodic travel may be required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Technical competence with water or wastewater engineering and civil engineering
  • Manage scope, budget, and schedule for a team of multi‑disciplined engineers, design engineers, and CAD technicians on various Water Business Line projects
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Manage project budgets, including development of detailed project instructions, scope of work, level of effort, and associated man‑hour estimates
  • Ensure time management and work product quality
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project accounting for all assigned projects
  • Prepare written and oral project reports for clients and team leaders, covering design status, upcoming milestones, project accounting, percent complete, and progress reports
  • Prepare and execute Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans
  • Lead internal and external project workshops
  • Engage in continuing education and learning based on project needs and team needs
  • Construction management experience (excluding construction observation) for local projects

Preferred:

  • Water and wastewater consulting experience
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit
Requirements

  • Strong communication skills

  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook
