Job summary

AECO is seeking a Project Manager V based in Dallas, TX to lead multiple construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will manage schedules, coordinate with clients, vendors, and inspectors, and oversee QA/QC to ensure design adherence, budget, and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, preferably in architecture/engineering or construction management, and offers substantial travel opportunities within the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
  • Experience in construction management or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all activities for assigned projects including pre-construction, design, construction phasing, closeout, occupancy, and warranty for multiple projects.
  • Organizes and coordinates construction activities with the client, vendors and stakeholders.
  • Understands scheduling, milestones, logic of the schedule and basic construction means/methods.
  • Plans and organizes reports, reviews documentation from multiple project teams.
  • Provides technical direction and guidance while enforcing client policies and ensuring project quality within budget and schedule.
  • Coordinates with the General Contractor to schedule tests/inspections and relays reports to Owner/Architect.
  • Reviews punch lists and verifies completion prior to substantial completion.
  • Monitors progress, handles field documentation (RFI/submittals) and supports coordination with inspectors.
  • Coordinates meetings and site-based discussions with the general contractor.
  • Coordinates project documentation with Project Controls reviewers.
  • Reviews and comments on Pay Applications and final approvals.
  • Documents conditions of off-site stored materials and gathers insurances and bills of sale for Pay Application review.

Education

Project Manager V to be based in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities
  • Manages all activities associated with assigned projects including pre‑construction, design, construction phasing, closeout coordination, occupancy, and warranty enforcement for multiple construction projects (new construction and renovation).
  • Organizes and coordinates construction activities with the client and client vendors, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Understands scheduling and critical milestone activities, the logic of the schedule, and basic construction means and methods.
  • Plans and organizes reports, reviewing documentation from multiple project teams.
  • May provide technical direction and guidance to others as needed while administering client policies, maintaining close interface with the project team, and ensuring all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Coordinates with the General Contractor to schedule all tests and inspections required by the contract documents or governmental authorities and arranges delivery of test and inspection reports to the Owner and Architect.
  • Reviews punch list items submitted by others and verifies that they have been completed and corrected prior to recommending substantial completion to the Owner.
  • Monitors construction work progress, processes field construction documentation (RFI and submittal validation and logging), and provides engineering support and coordination of construction field activities with inspectors.
  • Coordinates with the general contractor on required meetings and attends all site‑based meetings.
  • Coordinates project documentation with Project Controls (cost and schedule) reviewers.
  • Reviews, provides comments on, and fully approves Pay Applications.
  • Reviews and documents conditions of any off‑site stored materials, including gathering required insurances and bills of sale for Owner‑supporting Pay Application review and approval on behalf of the Owner.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, urban planning, construction management or related field.
  • Fifteen years in construction.
