Job summary

Plateau Excavation, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead Texas sitework projects, overseeing safety, quality, budget, schedule, and client communication. You will partner with field leadership to translate plans into executed work and drive results.

This role offers growth toward Senior Project Manager as you develop with Plateau. Candidates should have 3–7+ years in civil/site PM, with strong knowledge of earthwork and utilities, and a track record of delivering projects safely, on time,

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of project management experience in civil site development or related construction.
• Strong understanding of earthwork, underground utilities, and sequencing.
• Proven ability to manage costs, contracts, changes, and client relationships.
• Degree in construction management or civil engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from contract review to final billing and closeout.
• Build budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate earthwork, utilities, and sitework with superintendents.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and scope compliance.
• Lead client meetings, document changes, and change orders.
• Monitor risks and develop corrective plans with operations.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team. Manage Texas sitework projects with accountability for safety coordination, quality, budget, schedule, and client communication. Partner with field leadership to turn project plans into productive, well-coordinated execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from contract review and startup through final billing and closeout.
• Build and maintain budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate earthwork, utility, and related sitework activities with superintendents.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, purchase commitments, and scope compliance.
• Lead client meetings, identify changes, and negotiate documented change orders.
• Monitor production and project risks and develop corrective plans with operations.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of project management experience in civil site development, grading, utilities, or related construction disciplines.
• Strong understanding of earthwork, underground utilities, construction methods, and sequencing.
• Proven ability to manage costs, contracts, changes, and client relationships.
• Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
