Job summary

NV5,NYSE TIC, is seeking a Roadway Project Manager to join the Transportation Design team in Alpharetta, GA. You will lead transportation projects from concept to completion, drive proposals, and engage clients to win new work.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and 10+ years in transportation/site civil design, with proven project and people management skills, budgeting, and proficiency in MicroStation, InRoads, ORD, and Civil3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in transportation or site civil design.
• 5+ years of experience managing tasks, projects and staff.
• Proven ability to manage project budgets.
• Proficiency with GDOT and local municipalities roadway design.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, InRoads, ORD, Civil3D 2018.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

Roadway Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the charge on small to large-scale transportation projects—from concept to completion.
• Drive proposal writing, marketing efforts, and client engagement to win new work.
• Oversee roadway design across a spectrum of projects: rural roads, urban arterials, and interstate highways.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and consultants to deliver high-quality PS&E packages.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and long-term success.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide CADD technicians in plan production.
• Represent NV5 in professional organizations and technical societies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 10+ years of engineering experience in transportation and/or site civil design
  • Includes a combination of roadway, interstate, traffic, stormwater, irrigation design, and utility relocations
  • Experience with traffic signal and roundabout design is a plus
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing tasks, projects (small to large scale), and professional/technical staff
• Proven ability to manage project budgets effectively
• Strong understanding of transportation design and construction standards
  • Additional experience in traffic engineering, environmental constraints, hydraulics, and drainage is a plus
• Demonstrated history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
• Skilled in developing relationships with municipal, county, and state agencies for transportation and/or site civil projects
• Proficient in design software including:
  • MicroStation, Inroads, Open Roads Designer (ORD)
  • Autodesk Civil3D 2018
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management
• Ability to adapt and respond quickly under pressure
• Strong team mentality and a positive, proactive attitude
• Experience with GDOT and local municipalities roadway design projects

Certifications / Licenses

• Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable but not mandatory
• GSWCC Level II Design Professional Certification preferred
