Join to apply for the Project Manager, Transportation role at The Thrasher Group.

Thrasher is a full-service architecture, engineering, and field services consulting firm with a successful project portfolio across the Mid-Atlantic region. Our team provides professional services in architecture, land development, water resources, transportation, and energy.

We are seeking a Transportation Project Manager, focusing on bridge design, to join our Charleston, WV office. Responsibilities include driving project profitability, managing various projects, and collaborating with a team of professionals. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop statements of qualifications and fee proposals for projects.
• Oversee and monitor bridge project design, plan development, and QA/QC reviews.
• Schedule project tasks and personnel to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Identify schedule, financial, or technical issues proactively.
• Prepare project quantity calculations and cost estimates.
• Maintain relationships with clients, subconsultants, and agencies.
• Coordinate with construction inspection personnel to ensure design intent is met.
• Mentor junior staff members.
• Travel periodically as required.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Fifteen (15) years of experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in West Virginia or ability to obtain license within six months.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design practices and WVDOH project development.
• Experience with WVDOH Programmatic process and project management.
• Knowledge of AASHTO, WVDOH standards, CAD, roadway, and right-of-way deliverables.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Leadership and time management skills.
• Effective in meetings with clients and the public.
