Join our dynamic Security & Safety team as a Project Manager specializing in transportation and transit security projects! You'll lead groundbreaking initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring safety compliance and delivering impactful results.

This position can be fully remote but preference will be given to candidates in the following metro areas :

  • Washington, D.C.
  • Chicago, IL
  • Irvine, CA
  • Oakland, CA
  • Portland, OR
  • Seattle, WA

Responsibilities will include the following :

Project Development :

  • Champion project opportunities with strategic evaluations.
  • Craft compelling proposals and deliver persuasive client presentations.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions to secure optimal project scopes.

Strategic Initiation and Planning :

  • Spearhead project setup and detailed planning phases.
  • Implement robust document control protocols for seamless operations.
  • Develop and approve comprehensive Project Execution Plans (PEPs) to guide success.

Project Execution :

  • Kick off projects with enthusiasm and clarity.
  • Coordinate and empower project teams for peak performance.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with subconsultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates and proactive communication.

Project Control :

  • Manage project finances with precision, utilizing advanced cost management tools.
  • Craft and maintain detailed project schedules to drive efficiency.
  • Navigate changes and mitigate risks swiftly to safeguard project success.
  • Ensure flawless project closeout activities for seamless transitions.

Technical Expertise :

  • Develop cutting-edge Safety and Security documentation, shaping industry standards.
  • Apply innovative security and safety methodologies for robust project outcomes.
  • Prepare compelling reports and presentations, leveraging MS Office proficiency.

Additional Opportunities :

  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives forward.
  • Represent projects at industry events and client engagements.
  • Contribute to dynamic marketing and business development strategies.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, equivalent degree, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • PE, PMP, or certification from a recognized safety, security, or emergency management organization is strongly suggested.
  • 10+ years’ experience in high-impact transportation or rail safety projects.
  • Exceptional project management prowess with a track record of success.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, including Federal Transit Administration guidelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and related project management tools.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to analyze and solve problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must possess knowledge of budget and earned value; have a strong understanding of scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Maintains consistently good project performance including meeting financial targets for minimizing DSO and margin erosion.
