In this role, you will lead, manage, and develop private and public transportation engineering projects and WGI staff.

  • Prepare and review Traffic Impact Analyses (TIA).
  • Represent WGI at Public Hearings to support TIAs.
  • Design traffic signalization, Signing and Pavement Marking, ITS, and safety technologies.
  • Investigate accident data and evaluate safety and operational improvements.
  • Enhance safety for bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
  • Prepare engineering reports documenting findings and recommendations.
  • Conduct field reviews to identify safety and operational issues.
  • Develop improvements to enhance safety and traffic flow.
  • Create conceptual improvement drawings.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and remote staff to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage staff including other traffic engineers.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License preferred or in progress.
  • Knowledge of FDOT policies and procedures related to traffic engineering and familiarity with manuals such as MUTS, Traffic Engineering Manual, Highway Capacity Manual, MUTCD, and Highway Safety Manual.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
