ARCO/Murray is seeking a Project Manager for our Fort Lauderdale Tenant Solutions team. You will lead interior projects from concept to closeout, interfacing with clients and design teams to manage budgets and scopes.

Qualified candidates have 4–6 years of construction management or engineering design experience, preferably on interior projects, and proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project. This is an on-site role with growth opportunities in South Florida.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 4–6 years of construction management or engineering design experience, preferably for interior projects.
• Experience leading ground-up commercial or industrial projects is preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from preconstruction through closeout.
• Work with clients and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in proposals to review scope, reduce costs, and discuss value engineering and contracts.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for all trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure materials directly when advantageous to budget or schedule.
• Collaborate with the Project Superintendent on subcontractor scopes, schedule, and site logistics.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors and vendors to solve constructability issues.
• Organize and manage multiple activities to achieve desired results.
• Track project performance vs budget and prepare pay applications and progress reports.
• Find ways to make the construction process engaging for clients and trades while maintaining quality and safety.

This individual will be managing a wide variety of interior projects from tenant improvements and adaptive reuse to build-to-suit opportunities and full conversions of spaces in the Industrial, Entertainment and Commercial sectors. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout.
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
• Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
• Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues.
• Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 4-6 years of construction management or engineering design experience, preferably for interior projects.
• Previous experience leading ground-up commercial or industrial projects is preferred.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
