Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Project Manager to lead planning, coordination, and delivery of civil engineering projects in a fast-paced environment. You will balance technical quality with strong client relationships while managing scope, schedule, budget, and team performance.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and financial stewardship, with opportunities to guide watershed planning, flood mitigation, and related water-resources design integration.

Formación

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state(s) required to support project work.
• Minimum of 5 years (6 preferred) managing projects from conception through completion.

Job Description:Overview:The Project Manager leads the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of engineering projects while balancing technical quality with project and people leadership. This role manages project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations; coordinates multidisciplinary teams; develops strong client and agency relationships; and supports the growth and development of team members. The Project Manager is accountable for responsive, high-quality project execution and financial stewardship and demonstrates leadership consistent with Pape-Dawson's Excellence in Action Leadership Principles.Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate project teams to deliver high-quality work in accordance with agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.Manage project execution, including scopes, budgets, schedules, risks, deliverables, and resource coordination across concurrent assignments.Provide technical leadership and quality oversight for project deliverables, including plans, reports, calculations, specifications, estimates, and other technical documentation as applicable.Coordinate multidisciplinary team members, subconsultants, clients, agencies, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, maintain alignment, and support timely project delivery.Build and maintain trusted client and stakeholder relationships through responsive communication, sound judgment, and solution-oriented problem solving.Support business development and pursuit activities, including scope development, proposals, qualifications, interviews, teaming, and other client development efforts as applicable.Mentor and develop engineers, designers, analysts, and other technical staff through day-to-day direction, feedback, and professional development support.Demonstrate accountability for recurring responsibilities, deadlines, team productivity, responsiveness, quality, and financial stewardship while fostering strong working relationships.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned; job duties may change based on business needs.Lead watershed planning, flood mitigation, stormwater, drainage, and FEMA mapping or mitigation projects.Guide hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater design, resilience and mitigation, environmental coordination, and related civil design integration.Lead constructability reviews, value engineering, risk evaluation, and resolution of complex water-resources technical issues.Coordinate with clients, agencies, and communities on floodplain, drainage, and water-resources project needs, reviews, hearings, and outreach.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state(s) required to support project work.Requires a minimum of 5 years (6 preferred) managing projects from conception through completion.Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, budgets, schedules, teams, deliverables, and client expectations.Strong leadership, mentorship, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.If you need an accommodation or assistance with completing your application due to a disability or special need, please contact our team at [e-mail] or call [phone].EEO Statement:All qualified applicants for Pape-Dawson Engineers will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
