Project Manager - Steel Fabrication & Erection

You must be authorized to work in the U.S. (citizen or green card) AND possess project management experience specific to our industry or related education.

JP Ironworks, LLC, in collaboration with MarQ Steel Services, is excited to announce an opening for an experienced Project Manager at our Newark, Delaware OR Vineland, New Jersey locations. Join our project management team and lead both fabrication and erection operations with us!

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with detailers to track drawing progress
• Proactively requesting and following up on necessary information from architects and engineers
• Conducting field measurements for custom fabrication projects
• Coordinating with other trades, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Scheduling production and delivery of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials
• Overseeing erection through our MarQ Steel Services partnership
• Resolving on-site issues with a focus on safety
• Managing pricing and change order requests and negotiating with General Contractors, Construction Managers, or Owners
• Collaborating with accounting on job cost estimates and financial matters
• Building and maintaining client relationships across NJ, PA, NY, DE, MD, and beyond
• Managing relationships with erection crews and subcontractors
• Traveling to job sites (primarily day trips within our service region)
• Other duties as assigned by JP Ironworks management

Required Qualifications:

• The perfect candidate should possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in miscellaneous metals within project management for a steel fabricator/erector, OR hold a college degree in architecture, construction management, or civil/structural engineering along with over 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings is required.
