Job description

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the planning and implementation of road construction projects.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors to ensure effective execution.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes, and standards (e.g., traffic control, environmental regulations).
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Implement and enforce quality and safety standards.
  • Resolve conflicts and troubleshoot construction-related issues.
  • Liaise with government agencies, engineers, consultants, and local authorities.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–7 years of experience in project management within road or infrastructure construction.
  • Proven experience with budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of road construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Working Conditions:


  • Primarily site-based with occasional office work.
  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Travel to project sites may be required.
