Our primary capabilities include: Nitinol components, balloon expandable stents and balloon catheters, delivery systems, biomedical textiles, access kits, and guidewires. We are looking for a Project Manager, Staff to join our team in Warwick, RI.

The Staff Project Manager serves as a Program Leader responsible for leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that support Confluent's strategic objectives. This role operates with a high degree of independence and judgment, driving execution across Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Commercial functions. The Staff Project Manager manages large-scale customer and internal programs with multiple workstreams, stakeholders, risks, and dependencies. The role owns program execution from concept through commercialization and serves as a key leader responsible for balancing scope, schedule, quality, risk, and financial performance while fostering collaboration and accountability across teams. This position regularly interfaces with senior leaders, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders and is expected to influence decisions, resolve ambiguity, and drive successful outcomes without reliance on predefined solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Leadership Lead complex cross-functional projects and programs spanning multiple functions, sites, technologies, and product development phases.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, resource requirements, and critical path analyses.
  • Drive execution against project objectives while balancing scope, schedule, quality, cost, and risk considerations.
  • Independently identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and lead resolution efforts.
  • Ensure alignment among project stakeholders and facilitate timely decision-making.
  • Business and Financial Leadership Understand and communicate project business cases, financial objectives, revenue expectations, and profitability goals.
  • Assess project performance against approved business cases, cost models, and financial targets.
  • Organizational Leadership Lead teams through ambiguity while maintaining focus on business objectives and customer commitments.
  • Facilitate constructive resolution of conflicts and competing priorities.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and effective cross-functional decision-making.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource to less experienced Project Managers and project team members.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen project execution processes and organizational capability.
  • Program Governance Lead Stage Gate reviews and project governance activities.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet applicable quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and present executive-level project updates, recommendations, and performance metrics.
  • Drive corrective actions when project performance deviates from objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Project Management, or a related technical discipline required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification preferred.
Experience
  • Typically requires 5+ years of total professional experience with at least 3 years of project management experience in a regulated manufacturing or medical device environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Experience managing project budgets, financial performance, scope changes, and business case execution.
  • Experience influencing teams without direct authority.
  • Experience leading customer-facing programs preferred.
  • Multi-site project experience preferred.

  • Advanced project planning, scheduling, resource management, and critical path management skills.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, business cases, cost models, and profitability drivers.
  • Ability to lead complex projects with significant ambiguity and changing priorities.
