Job summary

ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead customer projects in metrology and inspection. You will act as the main bridge between customers and the home organization, translating needs into actionable plans and ensuring successful deployment in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, material science, or related fields.
• At least five years of proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a customer-facing role.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex customer relationships.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee customer projects in metrology and inspection in the semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and the home organization, ensuring clear communication and understanding of customer needs and expectations.
• Understand customers' objectives and align our solutions to meet those needs; deploy the solutions in field and be accountable for satisfying customer requests.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation; deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Handle customer escalations, ensuring issues are resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
• Implement strategies to prevent future escalations by identifying root causes and recommending improvements.
• Prepare regular reports on project status, customer feedback, and satisfaction metrics for senior management.

Your Role

• Implement strategies to prevent future escalations by identifying root causes and recommending improvements.
• Prepare regular reports on project status, customer feedback, and satisfaction metrics for senior management.

Your Profile

• Master's degree in electrical engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, material science, or related fields.
• Experience working with customers in the semiconductor manufacturing space is a clear advantage.
• At least five years of proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a customer‑facing role.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex customer relationships.
• Problem‑solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and tact.
• Office presence at least 3 days per week or more depending on business needs.
• Willingness to travel internationally for up to 50% of working time. The degree of travel might vary depending on the business needs.
• Fluent in English. Knowing Korean, Japanese or Mandarin is a very strong advantage.
