Job summary

Bluelight is a leading software consultancy hiring a seasoned Project Manager to spearhead software development efforts for diverse clients across the United States. You will drive project success through strong leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and disciplined governance.

You will manage multi-team delivery, coordinate vendors, and ensure on-time, on-spec results. A Bachelor's degree plus PMP/CSM/PSM is expected, with hours aligned to US business time and a focus on high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience managing software development projects.
  • Experience delivering against fixed external deadlines with critical-path and buffer management.
  • Experience managing a client dependency register with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths.
  • Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes.
  • Experience managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, integration timelines).
  • Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
  • Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting.
  • Experience with project management and tracking tools (Jira, Asana, or similar).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience translating technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives.
  • Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and dependencies.
  • Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams.
  • Ability to overlap US business hours.
  • PMP, CSM, or PSM certification.
  • Experience on projects with regulatory or compliance requirements (e.g., legal sign-offs, statutory deadlines).
  • Experience with nearshore US-LATAM delivery teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead software development projects from initiation to delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on scope and timelines.
  • Manage client dependencies, deadlines, and escalation paths.
  • Maintain risk registers and change-control processes throughout projects.
  • Oversee budgets, resourcing, and multi-workstream scheduling.
  • Coordinate third-party vendors and integration timelines.
  • Facilitate Agile/Scrum or Kanban ceremonies and status reporting.
  • Ensure milestones and acceptance criteria are met for client sign-off.
  • Leverage Jira/Asana to track progress and reporting.
