Job summary

W.L. French Excavating, a leading site subcontractor in Massachusetts, is seeking a talented Project Manager.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the PM oversees multiple projects and ensures on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality. Responsibilities include establishing partner relationships with GCs, developing schedules, leading meetings, reviewing progress, and coordinating with accounting on invoices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• 3+ years of experience managing multiple complex commercial projects (up to $20M).
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with energy and drive to improve.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain WLF as a trusted partner to GC's and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain a positive image with vendors, subs, clients, and teammates.
• Anticipate problems and proactively solve for win-win outcomes.
• Develop preliminary job schedules for projects and ensure all jobs stay on schedule.
• Attend and lead all project meetings and review site progress regularly.
• Visit jobs to assess supervision, progress, quality, and safety.
• Perform standard project administration: price change orders, read drawings/specs/reports, and prepare monthly requisitions.
• Coordinate with accounting to approve invoices and review schedules monthly.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $160,000.00 Annually

Responsibilities:

• Establish and/or maintain WLF as a trusted partner to GC's and other project stakeholders
• Maintain a positive image with vendors, subs, clients, and teammates
• Anticipate problems and proactively solve as win-win for company and GC
• Develop preliminary job schedules for projects
• Ensure all jobs stay on schedule
• Attend and lead all project meetings
• Visit jobs on a regular basis to review the effectiveness of site supervision, job progress, quality of work, and safety on the job
• Be responsible for standard project administration tasks:
• Price change orders
• Read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Read and understand contract agreements
• Prepare all monthly requisitions
• Work with accounting to approve all invoices
• Update and review schedules monthly
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Project.
• Knowledge of Carlson Earthwork Takeoff, Procore, and B2W estimating software helpful.
• Collaborate with safety department

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management
• 3+ years of experience managing multiple complex commercial projects (up to $20M) as a site subcontractor
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, high energy, drive, and desire to improve
